Welcome to Maitlandfield House situated in East Lothian's picturesque town of Haddington, just sixteen miles from Edinburgh, Scotland's capital city. The Murder Mystery Night provides excellent entertainment options from individual reservations to a group or company event.

The event includes a four course dinner and the murder mystery theatre, you have the best of both worlds - food and entertainment and if you choose to stay overnight then it will be a great event.

Imagine the scene, stepping straight into the pages of a detective story set in history and savour a unique atmosphere that has been centuries in the making, from the time of the early conquests. A feast of fine local food, local ale and entertainment awaits you.

Maitlandfield House doors will open from 19.00hrs and the event will begin around 19.45hrs and finish at approximately 11pm or later if there is a disco.

Before you start the meal the actors will present a murder plot with a little cheeky humour. They will remain in character, mixing with you and your friends throughout the meal, giving you all the opportunity to ask them questions about the event.

You Guess who the murderer Is ????   at the end of the meal all will be revealed in the final act!

Poached Chicken Breast, with Local Steamed Vegetables, Fondant Potato and Peppercorn Sauce

Cold Set Vanilla Chessecake with Fruit Coulis

on Friday night and enjoy a chocolate hands on workshop supper with bed and breakfast Perfectly suited for the chocoholic who is keen to find out more about the art of the chocolatier. 

• Only £50 per person sharing a twin or double bedroom,  includes 2 course supper with a glass of wine or soft drink.
• minimum of 10 places must be booked to ensure event goes ahead
• Chocolate workshop suppers are also available as private functions for a 1 night stay, subject to availability.
